Official notice

The JUPAS official calendar states that applicants may pay the selection-updating fee to update their programme choices from 9am on 4 December 2026; the deadline for paying that fee and updating programme choices is 5pm on 26 May 2027; applicants may modify programme choices between 14 and 16 July 2027, with the time limit on 14 July being 3pm; between 14 and 16 July 2027 the nine JUPAS participating institutions and the SSSDP institutions suspend all communication with applicants; and CATI-5 applicants must submit valid documents by 5pm on 16 July 2027.

Gradepath analysis

The calendar splits revision into a paid pre-results phase and a two-day post-results phase. The pre-results window, 4 December to 26 May, requires a fee and is the only period in which you can reorder twenty programme choices calmly. The post-results window, 14 to 16 July, exists to react to HKDSE results, and 14 July itself closes at 3pm — roughly two and a half days in total. More importantly, the calendar states outright that institutions suspend all communication with applicants from 14 to 16 July, so there is no phoning an admissions office to gauge your chances; every judgement must be pre-planned before 14 July. Practical advice: settle your genuine preference order before 26 May and prepare three versions of the choice list for best-case, expected and safety scenarios, so on 14 July you only execute a decision rather than research one.
