Official notice

The JUPAS “Programme Changes” page records the following updates on 15 October 2026: the First Year Intake information for HKUST programmes JS5102, JS5103, JS5282, JS5300 and JS5313; the First Year Intake information for HKU programmes JS6200 and JS6999; and the Programme Full Title / Short Name for LingnanU programme JS7204. The same page also states that the nine JUPAS participating institutions and the SSSDP institutions make every effort to finalise the programmes to be offered before applications for admission are invited, but unforeseen circumstances have made it necessary for the institutions to make changes to certain programmes after the commencement of application.

Gradepath analysis

The real content of this update is not which places changed, but that intake figures can still move during the application period. The page says outright that institutions try to finalise programmes before applications are invited, yet unforeseen circumstances have made some post-opening changes necessary — the intake you see in October is not necessarily the one in force when you submit in December. Two concrete actions for Form 6 students: first, if any of HKUST JS5102, JS5103, JS5282, JS5300, JS5313 or HKU JS6200, JS6999 sit within your twenty choices, reopen the programme pages and re-check before submitting on 2 December instead of relying on October notes; second, the LingnanU change concerns the programme’s full title and short name, which affects whether you can find it by name, so search by catalogue number instead. Scheduling a November course-data re-check is far more reliable than memorising any set of intake numbers.
