JUPAS hidden deadline: confirm your HKDSE exam years by 5pm on 16 June 2027 — no late confirmations
JUPAS requires applicants to confirm their HKDSE exam years in the account by 5pm on 16 June 2027; otherwise institutions assess the results already on record.

Official notice
The JUPAS page on HKDSE examination results states that applicants must confirm their HKDSE examination years in their JUPAS account on or before 5pm on 16 June 2027. If an applicant has not confirmed by the deadline, institutions will consider the application based on the HKDSE results recorded in the account as at that deadline. The page adds that late confirmation or amendment will not be accepted. It also states that when the HKDSE examination years are available for checking, the JUPAS Office will notify applicants to log in and confirm; applicants must check and confirm that all their HKDSE examination years are correctly recorded, so that the JUPAS Office and the institutions can verify that all relevant results, including result certificates where applicable, have been obtained from the HKEAA. The page further states that institutions may consider HKDSE results obtained in different years when assessing applications.
Gradepath analysis
What makes this deadline dangerous is that the consequence is not a penalty but silent default: if you do nothing, the system simply proceeds. The official wording says institutions will assess the application on the results recorded in the account as at 5pm on 16 June — so if the HKEAA actually holds results from two sittings but the account records only one, no warning is issued and institutions will see only that one. This is especially damaging for repeat candidates, private candidates, and anyone who sat the examination in different years: the page states institutions may consider results from different years, which means the best combination of results will not be assembled for you automatically — you have to check it yourself before the deadline. The second trap is the notification channel: applicants are notified by email and SMS, the SMS bearing the sender name "#JUPAS". If a private email account filters those messages into junk, or if a mobile number is shared with another applicant, the notice effectively never arrives, and the cost of missing the confirmation falls on the applicant. Third, the wording is "will not be accepted" — not a late fee, not a supplementary submission, not a matter of discretion. Treat 16 June as a hard deadline on a par with the 2 December application deadline: check now that the email address and mobile number on the account are your own, in regular use, and not shared with another applicant, put 16 June in the calendar, and complete the check on the day the notice arrives rather than on the last evening.
