Official notice

The Hong Kong Children’s Choir’s official application form for the Intelligence-Emotion-Creativity (IEC) programme (January 2027 intake) states that the application period runs from 2 to 12 November 2026, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Lunch break is 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm; the Ho Man Tin Centre office is closed every Tuesday; the Wong Chuk Hang Centre office is closed every Tuesday and Sunday. Application venues are the West Kowloon Centre, the Ho Man Tin Centre or the Wong Chuk Hang Centre. The Important Notes add that all application forms should be submitted in person during the application period with a cheque of HK$100 application fee and a copy of an identification document; the fee should be paid by crossed cheque payable to “The Hong Kong Children’s Choir”, with the name of the applicant, the name of the parent/guardian and a contact number written on the back of the cheque; each applicant can hand in one application form only, a receipt is issued at the time of submission, and the ballot is drawn using the number on that receipt.

Gradepath analysis

This form fills three gaps the enrolment page never gave: the fee (HK$100), the payee wording, and the actual hours. Three things go wrong most often. Submission hours are only 10am to 6pm, with a lunch break from 12:45pm to 2:00pm. Ho Man Tin closes every Tuesday and Wong Chuk Hang closes on Tuesdays and Sundays, so the number of days on which a form can actually be handed in is smaller than it looks. And each applicant may hand in one form only: a second form does not improve the odds, while the receipt number is the ballot reference, so losing it leaves you with no proof. The form also states that fees paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
