HKCC 2027 intake windows: dance in February, choir in August
The next HKCC intake falls in February 2027 for dance and Putonghua, and August 2027 for choir and percussion; the official page lists months only. The choral group recruits once a year, so missing it means a full year wait.

Official notice
The Hong Kong Children’s Choir’s official enrolment page states that the dance, harmonica, handbell and Putonghua programmes recruit twice a year, with the next intake in February 2027: applicants for the July course submit the form in February, are interviewed between April and early May, and begin practice that July; applicants for the January course submit in August, are interviewed on weekends from late September to early October, and begin the following January. The choral and percussion programmes recruit once a year in August, with the next intake in August 2027; applicants are interviewed on weekends from late September to early October and successful members begin practice the following January.
Gradepath analysis
The official page gives months, not days — the detail families overlook most with year-round ensembles. Dance and Putonghua have two entry points a year: miss February and August still works, but the start month shifts from July to the following January. Choir and percussion recruit once a year, so missing August costs a full year. Interview slots are allocated by computer and notified by letter one week before the interview day; no exact date is published, so do not fill every weekend from late September to early October in advance.
