The HKEAA has confirmed that 2027 HKDSE registration closed on 7 October and exam fees are due by 23:59 on 14 October. A late payment window runs from 15 to 20 October with a HK$321 surcharge per candidate. The deadline to withdraw is 30 November.
Gradepath analysis
For private candidates and newly-arrived families, the real risk is that an unpaid fee voids the entry entirely: many assume the 7 October form submission was the finish line. Subject amendments are only possible between 16 November and 4 December. With written papers roughly six months away and the English speaking exam opening on 9 March, preparation time is already short.
