UCAS sets 18:00 UK time on 15 October 2026 as the equal consideration deadline for 2027 entry to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge and for most courses in medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine/science. The equal consideration date for other undergraduate courses is 18:00 on 13 January 2027.
Gradepath analysis
Many newly-arrived families assume overseas timelines are looser than local ones; the opposite is true here — this deadline is earlier and harder than JUPAS, and late submissions lose equal consideration, with the most competitive courses rarely accepting them. A further wrinkle for 2027 entry: the UCAS personal statement is now three structured questions, so a traditional narrative essay reads as off-target. With days left, an unfinished statement is a withdrawal from the Oxbridge and medicine race.
