Official notice
The University of Groningen official overview "Overzicht numerus fixusopleidingen 2027-2028" now lists five Bachelor's programmes with their places: Medicine 400, International Business 400, Psychology (Dutch track) 390, Psychology (English track) 225 and Dentistry 69. The same page listed 365 for Dutch-track Psychology on 26 October 2026, the figure carried in our brief that day; it now reads 390. The page footer records "Last modified: 26 October 2026 09.31 a.m." and no separate announcement of the change was issued.
Gradepath analysis
First, place numbers move during the application window and the university does not always publish a notice — Dutch-track Psychology went from 365 to 390 with no press release. The only safe habit is to reopen the official page and read the current figure before you submit, rather than trusting a republished table. Second, read what actually changed: 25 extra places raise the lottery odds, but the same page classifies that track as an unweighted lottery that ignores motivation and grades, so what moves is probability, not your preparation. Third, the English track stays at 225 places and selects on test results inside the selection procedure; with places and structure unchanged, the work still sits in the test. Fourth, a place count is a hard ceiling rather than a target intake: 69 for dentistry and 400 for medicine are simply not the same competition, so choose by places rather than by reputation. Fifth, the hard deadline for this route remains 15 January 2027 whatever the places say.
