The UAC international applications page sets out the key 2027 Semester 1 dates: Friday 5 February 2027 is the closing date for Semester 1 applications; 18 December 2026 is the preference-change deadline for December round 2 with offers released on 23 December; 8 January 2027 is the first January offer round. ATARs are released on Wednesday 16 December 2026 and IB results from 17 December. The processing charge is about A$82 for early-bird and about A$215 standard, subject to the UAC fee schedule for the year.
Gradepath analysis
The key difference from the UK is rolling admission: UAC releases offers in several rounds, so early applicants secure places before the 5 February cut-off matters. That makes 18 December more than paperwork: it is the last window to reorder preferences and push your safest course to first choice. Second, Hong Kong applicants presenting DSE or IB results are converted under a published equivalence table, and IB results released on 17 December must be submitted promptly to catch the 23 December round. Third, the visa is the real bottleneck: after an offer you still need a COE, OSHC health cover and a subclass 500 student visa, so for a February start aim to lodge the visa application by mid-January at the latest and leave room for accommodation and flights.
