The "Anticipated SAT Weekend 2027-28 Test Dates" section of College Board's official SAT Suite Test Dates and Deadlines page lists five Fall 2027 dates: 28 August, 18 September, 9 October, 6 November and 4 December 2027. The 9 October entry carries an "Updated" tag, the only tagged entry in that section. Spring 2028 dates are 4 March, 6 May and 3 June 2028. The section publishes no registration deadline, no change, cancellation or late-registration deadline, and no score release date for these dates.
Gradepath analysis
First, the word "Anticipated" still governs everything: these are projected dates, not a registration calendar, so use them to plan practice rather than to book travel or assume a seat is waiting — and do not push preparation back just because next year looks crowded. Second, the position of 9 October matters: it sits about three weeks after 18 September and before 6 November, adding a second fall sitting. Three weeks is not enough to rebuild fundamentals, so it only pays off if you have already sat a full-length practice test under timed conditions; and College Board has not said when scores for that date are released, so do not assume they reach any early-round deadline. Third, what actually decides your next move is the confirmed 2026-27 table: for the 7 November 2026 test the registration deadline was 23 October and the last day for changes, cancellation or late registration is 27 October, all at 11:59 p.m. ET; the next sitting is 5 December 2026, register by 20 November with changes until 24 November. Fourth, students who need to borrow a device from College Board must register and request it at least 30 days before test day — earlier than the registration deadline, and the footnote most people skip.
