Online applications for the 2027 International Science Competition Hong Kong selection close at 23:59 on 13 October, with materials due 20 October. Preliminary judging runs 24 October to 1 November and finals on 21 November.

The 2027 International Science Competition Hong Kong Selection, organised by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association, accepts online applications from 19 August until 23:59 on 13 October 2026, with supporting materials due by 20 October. Preliminary judging runs from 24 October to 1 November and the final judging on 21 November. Winning projects represent Hong Kong at Regeneron ISEF in the United States and at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.
Gradepath analysis
This is the only official route for Hong Kong secondary students to the ISEF global finals, and it also selects the Geneva inventions delegation — last season just 5 projects and 11 students were chosen from 64 entries. Eligibility is S3 to S6 in 2026/27, under 20 on 1 May 2027, with a maximum of three students per project; reports must be written in English and assessed anonymously, and defence is conducted entirely in English. Missing it, the Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition closes in January and is a second route for the same project.
