For the 2026-27 season, AMC 10/12 Paper A is on 5 November and Paper B on 13 November, bilingual, with registration closing 26 October and 3 November. AMC 8 falls on 22 January 2027.

Official notice
For the 2026-27 season, AMC 10/12 Paper A is scheduled for 5 November and Paper B for 13 November, each 75 minutes with 25 questions in Chinese and English. Registration closes on 26 October and 3 November respectively. AMC 8 is set for 22 January 2027. Individual registration is not accepted; entries go through school test centres or authorised providers.

The biggest change this season is that AMC 10/12 has dropped at-home online testing worldwide and now runs only at authorised physical centres, where seats are allocated first-come — no seat means no attempt this year. One change works in candidates’ favour: AIME qualification now uses fixed cut scores, 100 for AMC 10 and 85 for AMC 12, making the target measurable. Scoring is 6 for a correct answer, 1.5 for blank and 0 for a wrong one, which means abandoning the hardest final questions is a rational play.
