Official notice

The afternoon "Thematic Forums" programme of the forum (Chinese title: 「第四屆「未來香江」國際科創教育論壇」) is published on a dedicated official page by the Hong Kong STEM Education Alliance (organiser) with the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government (co-organiser). It states: date — Tuesday 17 November 2026; time — 3:00–5:00 p.m. (registration and sign-in from 2:30 p.m.); venue — Rooms WP01A and WP01B, Podium Level, West Block, EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre; audience — primary and secondary school principals, teachers or prospective teachers. Two thematic forums run concurrently in the afternoon. Forum One (WP01A) is themed 「AI 時代生命科學教育:教甚麼,如何教?」 in Putonghua, with speakers 胡海濤 and 趙志磊 (researchers, Chinese Academy of Sciences). Forum Two (WP01B) is themed "Space Science Education in the AI Era: Is There Life in Outer Space?" in English, with speakers Prof. Michel Blanc and 陳文豪博士 (Associate Professor, Department of Science and Environmental Studies, the Education University of Hong Kong). The published programme is: 2:30–2:59 registration and sign-in; 3:00–4:00 the two forums (30 minutes per speaker); 4:00–4:45 panel discussion led by the moderators; 4:45–5:00 Q&A. The page also lists a separate registration link for the thematic forums, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Innovation and Development Centre as co-organiser, and a list of supporting institutions. It publishes no registration deadline, no quota and no fee. The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education updated this item on 5 November 2026 and links "Thematic Forums" directly to this page.

Gradepath analysis

The language of each forum is stated explicitly on the page, not inferred: one in Putonghua on AI-era life science education, one in English on AI-era space science education, and both run concurrently from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Two things matter for an applicant. First, the organiser has written "AI × discipline" as two separate themes, with the University of Hong Kong, the Education University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Institute of Innovation and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences among the supporting institutions — a concrete, nameable example of the cross-disciplinary topics that work well in a project or an interview. Second, the English forum title is itself a full English question ("Is There Life in Outer Space?"); rather than memorising an answer, build the academic vocabulary and question forms around it. Also note that the page publishes only the programme, speakers and a registration link — no registration deadline, no quota and no fee. "Prospective teachers" are included in the stated audience, which confirms this is a teacher professional-development event, not a student competition.
